Every Industrial Injection Premium Stock Plus Long Block is precision machined, balanced, and assembled to exacting specifications. The rotating assembly is carefully balanced and blueprinted to ensure smooth operation and consistent performance throughout the engine's lifespan.
Industrial Injection X Series coated, chamfered, and de-lipped pistons help improve durability while reducing stress concentrations commonly found in factory piston designs. Combined with a keyed crankshaft, keyed camshaft, pinned oil pump, and premium ARP fasteners, this engine is engineered to provide exceptional reliability in both stock and mild performance applications.
The included Premium Stock Plus cylinder heads are professionally reconditioned, resurfaced, and assembled with premium components. Featuring diamond honed valve guides, high-strength heat-treated valve guides, premium nickel-based valve seat inserts, new unshrouded valves, and new valve springs, these heads are built to provide excellent sealing, airflow, and long-term durability.
Exclusive to the LB7 Premium Stock Plus platform, the cylinder heads are upgraded with Industrial Injection Torque Lock Injector Cups. Unlike factory press-fit injector cups, Torque Lock cups are mechanically secured within the cylinder head to prevent movement under extreme heat and cylinder pressure. This proven upgrade helps eliminate one of the most common LB7 failure points by reducing the risk of injector cup movement, coolant intrusion, combustion leaks, and injector sealing issues.
Premium C Grade head gaskets and ARP 2000 head studs provide superior clamping force and sealing capability, helping ensure reliable performance under demanding towing, daily driving, and work truck conditions.

For proper engine break-in, Industrial Injection recommends using Driven Racing Oil (Joe Gibbs) Break-In Oil for the first 300–500 miles of operation. Break-in oil is not included with the engine.
